Our lives adjust to whatever level of stress they encounter. I used to be pretty damn sure that the harder your life was the better you came out, but I've since realized that everyone's peaks and valleys, no matter what they are to other people's, are comparable in experience and emotion. When you were a small child, losing a toy was then end of the world, when I was 17, losing a potential child wasn't the end of the world. Did that make sense? You're familiar with the emotions I went though, just not the choice. I don't want this to feel like a gulf between what makes me me and what makes you you. It's a story, you know?
