Sometimes they do, sometimes there can be too much stress, which is why we have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I don't really think that I've had too many terrible experiences that caused that sort of emotion. I've been angered by things and depressed by things, but not so much to that extent. I like to bury my emotions more, plus I think that that's the sort of thing that brings out the true depth of your emotions.
